Seiko HONDA Sportura BAR Racing Watch F1
Seiko makes reliable timepieces, and has done so for quite while. Honda makes reliable automobiles, and has for quite some time. Both companies, in general, have good motors inside their respective products. Honda and Seiko motors both represent quality. The fit and finish of both makes is also of high-quality. But, where they both lack is in the luxury department. Either way, the partnership for this watch makes sense, and the watch is sure to be popular.
Update: Now Seiko makes higher quality, luxury or near luxury timepieces. Look here and here.

Comments
Seiko and Honda: Both are Japanese, Both have excellent value products, Both have low and high end products, both are great engineering organizations... it would seem this would make more sense than a Honda-Rolex/Omega/Tag, etc. or Seiko-/BMW,Ferrari, etc... Even a match with Toyota doesn't make sense as Toyota is really an "appliance" maker trying to make its mark in motorsports. Honda has motorsports in it's blood.

dude,
there is nothing wrong with Honda logo and moreso, Seiko movement. YOu should remember it was Seiko that gave the swiss movement wathes a run for their money in the yesteryears minus the price tag. I'd probably hav seiko and honda, or nissan or toyota for the very reason the 2 have synergies in terms of the japanese brand. Overpriced? maybe...i'll shell out a little more for the sporturas perhaps..

Honda may not make the list of the prestige cars unless you want them to just go and go and go. Then the prestige brands spend more time in the repair shop than driving.
I know some snobs are rich but doesn't the cost just irritate you? It should.

Honda is a leader in Formula 1 racing. Hence the Seiko/BAR Honda makes sense to people familiar with racing. The Acura NSX (labled Honda in Japan) and the Honda S2000 are two Hondas which have much of their roots based in Honda F1 R&D.

Exactly, Honda are very successful not just at the highest levels of F1 but also bike racing. Which cannot be said for any of the othe marques you list. Bentley & Porsche don't even compete in F1... having said all that, I'd rather have a Bentley

After looking at this watch for a while I actually like it a lot more. For a Seiko it is pretty good looking. I guess the fact that it is Honda F1 Racing makes it better than just Honda.

uhhh Jason- what's wrong with a Honda? Obviously, we are not taking about a Honda Civic here! It is a Honda F1 racing watch we are talking about (FORMULA ONE)- HELLO, is anybody home?!! Honda in F1 circles have always had an illustrious history- winning numerous awards and races. So the F1 brand is not your average consumer car but associated with a million dollar racing machine. Get your facts right and read the reason why Seiko teamed up with the Honda F1 racing team and driver Jensen Button- I guessed you probably knew that already! By the way, I happened to own this model and am proud not because of the F1 logo, but because it really does stand out, even as a Sportura model. Overpriced? Try a Patek Philippe!

Hey, Honda isn't just the company that spits out Accords. They also build some pretty kick-ass race cars. Because all the European teams are pretty obnoxious, I find myself rooting for Honda and Toyota just out of spite.
Cut 'em a break.

Uh, isn't Acura a north american only label for "expensive" Honda's? A Honda watch would probably sell better outside of North America, since the rest of the world has little knowledge of "Acura".
(FWIW I'm not a Honda-head but a Nissan head.. Just pointing out the facts..)
