Glashütte Original recently introduced their new Sport Evolution Perpetual Calendar at Basel. This model offers a calendar display that displays day, date, month, moonphases and leap year, automatically adjusting itself for the varied length of months. The 42mm case is made of stainless steel with a brushed finish and polished accents.

The bezel is printed with paired reference world cities. Day and month are shown in the upper two windows, while the lower dial showcases the moonphase indicator and the sophisticated Glashütte Original Panorama date display; the leap year cycle is shown via a colored segment in the small circular window below the Glashütte Original logo. Three correctors on the left side of the watch control the correction of the calendar functions.

Overall the red accents combined with the black dial and stainless steel case create a very sporty and elegant look. There are three strap options; rubber, synthetic (shown), and stainless steel. Glashutte is a manufacture, so there is no need to outsource the movement. The Sport Evolution Perpetual Calendar utilizes a highly accurate GO 39-57 movement, made entirely in-house.
