Alpina Extreme Diver 1000 Meters
The new Alpina Extreme Diver 1000 M features a black PVD steel case that is 48 mm in diameter. It features a unidirectional rotating bezel that displays a luminous minute indication. There is an automatic helium escape valve located at 10 o'clock. This allows the helium atoms to escape the case during decompression.
The date is displayed at 3 o'clock, with a half-moon shaped aperture. There are four dials available: black, orange, blue and yellow. The watch is powered by the AL-525 automatic movement with a 42 hour power reserve. Surprisingly, the caseback is a see-through sapphire. Usually watches that go 1000 meter deep will feature a hard caseback. Availability will begin Summer 2009 and price is TBD.
