Baume & Mercier Monopusher Chronograph

Baume & Mercier recently unveiled a new limited edition Monopusher Chronograph. The "monopusher" design allows you to start, stop and reset the chronograph with just one button. The pusher is integrated into the crown, offering a sleek appearance. For reference, German manufacture Chronoswiss is probably the best known manufacture of monopusher chronographs, here is one.

The dial of the new model features a silver guilloche finish and two counters: small seconds at 9 o'clock and chronograph minutes at 3 o'clock. Chronograph seconds are displayed on the central seconds hand. Hours and minutes are displayed on the central hands.

Inside the 41 mm x 9.6 mm 18k pink gold case is a Lajoux-Perret Caliber 5000 movement. The 21 jewel manually wound movement runs at 21,600 vph (or 3Hz). The movement is nicely decorated, including bridges with Côtes de Genève, and is visible through the sapphire exhibition back.

The strap is dark brown alligator, with scaly squares and features an ardillón buckle (tang) in 18-carat pink gold with engraved Phi symbol. Only 20 timepieces will be available worldwide. Reference M0A08802. Retail is $30,000.
