UTS 2000M Professional Diver Watch
German watchmaker UTS has released a new limited edition version of their 2000M Professional Diver. The case is 44 mm in diameter and 17 mm tall. It comes in either stainless steel or stainless steel coated with PVD. The PVD treatment adds $750 to the price of the stainless steel model, but it also makes the watch virtually scratch proof.
Inside is an Swiss ETA 2824-2 movement. The dial is protected by a 4mm sapphire on the front and a screwed-down caseback on the back. The divers' watch is capable of withstanding water pressures down to 2000M or about 6600 feet. A helium escape valve allows helium molecules to safely escape the watch during resurfacing, without any water entering the case.
The UTS 2000M Professional Diver watch is available in a limited edition of 200 pieces. Retail is $3500 for the stainless steel and $4250 for the PVD treated stainless steel.
