TX is about to start shipping the TX 830 Linear Duo Chronograph, which was announced earlier this year. The new chronograph comes in stainless steel, in three variations. The version shown features a (polished/brushed) black PVD case, with 18K rose gold crown, pushers and dial accents, and a black leather strap. The Linear Duo will also be available in (brushed) grey and (polished/brushed) silver cases, both come with black perforated rubber straps.

Inside, is a quartz analog, 4 motor, 6 hand movement with chronograph and a second time zone. It is the same movement as used in the TX 800 Series chronograph. For the most part, the dial is laid out like the TX 800. Central hours, minutes and seconds hands, along with a central chronograph seconds hand. The chronograph hours and 2nd time zone are at 4:30 and the date is at 3 o'clock. The biggest difference, aside from the shape of the case, is the design of the linear chronograph display. It is now bigger and easier to read.

A sapphire crystal protects the dial and a solid stainless steel caseback protects the back. The hands and indices are treated with Superluminova. Water-resistance is 50 meters.

The TX 830 Linear Duo Chronograph collection looks very impressive and will likely be a hot seller. Retail is $675-$690. Available Q4 2009.
