Last week, I had a chance to visit the flagship US Blancpain boutique. It is located in Midtown Manhattan, on Madison Avenue, between 66th and 67th Street. The boutique is fairly small, at about 1000 square feet, but within that space, they probably have the widest selection of Blancpain watches in the country.

For Blancpain, I prefer their sporty models, the Fifty Fathoms especially, so I photographed and tried on a few of those. I also had a chance to check out the Limited Edition Lamborghini Super Trofeo. I like the look and dimensions of this watch. It features a very thin case design and is coated in a nice hard black DLC coating. It also features a robust manufacture flyback chronograph movement, visible through its sapphire crystal caseback.

The Blancpain Super Trofeo is limited to only 300 pieces worldwide, which is great considering so many companies produce limited editions in much higher quantities.

Blancpain 500 Fathoms GMT ($25,900.00)

The 500 Fathoms GMT seems a little expensive when compared to the Super Trofeo Chronograph or standard Fifty Fathoms model, but it does features 10 times the water-resistance, better lumination on the dial and a GMT function.
