Biel, Switzerland watchmaker, Milus, has just introduced a new timepiece called the Zetios Regulator. The new timepiece comes in a 42 mm diameter case and is available in either stainless steel or 18K red gold. A flattened bezel compliments the round details of the case and lugs, creating a unique and appealing timepiece.

A curved sapphire glass protects the dial with "Grain de Riz" décor in the centre and a glossed outer area with blue minute numerals. A regulator watch displays hours, minutes and seconds separately on the dial (and it is supposed to be easier to read, although I think a typical centralized 3-hand movement is actually easier). The minute hand is positioned centrally. The hour display is at 12 o'clock, the seconds display at 6 o'clock. The date is shown at 3 o'clock. This arrangement creates a simple and elegant look. The crown is signed with the Milus logo. The movement is an automatic Swiss ETA. Water-resistance is 30 meters. The strap is alligator leather with a matching buckle or clasp.

Milus has done a good job enhancing the look of the classic regulator watch with their new Zetios Regulator. They used a traditional "regulator" dial design, including a beautifully detailed sunray dial, with easy to read contrasting blue hours, minutes and seconds markers. But, what really sets this timepiece apart from the typical regulator watch, is the way they subtly rounded the corners of the case, lugs and even the crown protector.

Retail TBD
