Biel, Switzerland based watchmaker Milus has just released a sportier version of their triple retrograde timepiece, the TIRION TriRetrograde Seconds DLC. It features a DLC coated stainless steel case that is 45 mm in diameter, with a domed sapphire glass. The bezel and the dial are made of carbon fiber. At the center of the dial are the brand's exclusive three retrograde displays. Each display shows 20 seconds in succession, for a total of 60 seconds. ("Retrograde" means a hand that moves across a scale, and then jumps back to zero immediately - and in this case three displays combine to display the seconds.)
Highlighting the unique three part seconds displays are visible bridges, as well as blued screws and rubies. The dial, like previous TriRetrograde models, has multi-layer look that has become a signature element of Milus.
The caseback features a sapphire crystal, so you can view the automatic mechanical movement. The rotor is skeletonized in the shape of the Milus logo. The movement features an circular graining finish and blued screws. An exclusive Milus 3838 mechanism was added, which allows a triple retrograde seconds display, was added to Swiss base movement.
A large date display is almost hidden on the carbon fiber outer chapter ring, between 4 and 5 o'clock. Skeletonized hands for the hours, minutes and all three seconds displays are painted with white SuperLuminova, as our the hour markers. The strap is black leather with carbon-fibre appearance, edged with off-white stitches. Available with buckle of folding clasp. Water-resistance is 30 meters (100 feet).
The Milus TIRION TriRetrograde Seconds DLC (Ref TIRI017) is a sportier version of the popular Milus triple retrograde seconds wristwatch line. A combination of DLC, carbon fiber, blued screws, visible engraved bridges and jewels - along with the signature triple retrograde seconds display, really make this dial distinctive, and easily recognizable as a Milus.
