Breguet presents the unique Réveil Musical watch for Only Watch 2011. This one-of-a-kind timepiece will be auctioned on September 23, 2011 with all proceeds going to help the fight against Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

The Réveil Musical watch plays “Castle in the sky,” at the press of a button, or at a pre-set time. The dial displays a child’s hand and once it completes a full rotation it touches the adult hand, symbolizing inter-generational solidarity and support for research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

The Réveil comes in a 48 mm 18k white gold case, with a case band finely engraved with a musical stave. The caseback is personalized for Only Watch 2011 and engraved with “piece unique.”

The dial features an exquisite hand-guilloche design, with a rotating child’s hand stretched out towards that of an adult. The dial center makes a complete turn when the striking mechanism is activated. Roman numerals mark the hours on the chapter ring. Breguet hands in blued steel. Alarm on/off indication in a circular window between 9 and 10 o’clock. Alarm power-reserve indication visible through aperture at 3 o’clock.

The movement is self-winding, numbered and bearing the Breguet signature. 55 hour power-reserve. Cal. 0900 with 59 jewels and a 55 hour power reserve. Silicon escape wheel and lever. Breguet balance with adjusting screws. Breguet balance spring. Runs at 4 Hz. Adjusted in 6 positions.
