At Baselworld 2011, Rolex introduced 18K gold Daytonas with ceramic bezels. And although purists may have cringed at the addition of a ceramic bezel to the timeless and much coveted Rolex chronograph; not all Rolex buyers are purists and in regards to durability, ceramic is far superior to steel.
Considering that Rolex has already added a ceramic bezel to the gold Daytonas, it seems as though a Ceramic Bezel Stainless Steel Rolex Daytona Chronograph introduction at Baselworld 2012 is inevitable. There is nothing concrete at this point which substantiates this, however, people are already talking about the potential.
