To celebrate 50 years of James Bond, Omega has announced a new special edition timepiece – the Omega James Bond 007 Seamster 50th Anniversary. James Bond has worn a Seamaster in every 007 film since GoldeEye.

The 007 Seamaster will come in two sizes, 41 mm and 36.25 mm. The cases are in stainless steel and feature ceramic bezel rings with diving scales in matter chromium nitride with the number “50” in red to symbolize the anniversary.

The 007 Seamaster features a lacquered black dial with the “007” monogram. The The 41 mm version has 11 applied indexes; the 36.35 mm watch has ten with a diamond index at the 7 o’clock position – a reminder that this watch was created to honour the film history of agent 007. The indexes are coated with white Super-LumiNova with a blue emission, allowing ease of reading in all light conditions.

Both versions feature Omega’s caliber 2507 self-winding movement fitted with Omega’s proprietary co-axial escapement. COSC-certified chronometer. Functions include hours, minutes, central seconds and date.

The caseback is screwed-in and stamped with the signature Bond gun-barrel design. There is a “bullet” decoration fixed on the rotor that can be viewed through a central sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating inside. The watch also has a unidirectional rotating bezel. A helium escape valve allows helium atoms to escape during decompression, necessary for professional divers operating in diving bells. Water-resistant up to 300 meters.

Each version comes on a classic brushed and polished Omega-patented screw-and-pin stainless steel bracelet.
