At the Antiquorum Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces auction on June 12, 2012 – an Omega Constellation owned by Elvis Presley – lot 192 – sold for a record breaking $52,500. That is five times the pre-sale estimate. It is rare that a piece sells for such a significant amount above the estimate, but considering how famous the original owner is, it makes sense.
