Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore LeBron James Limited Edition

Audemars Piguet has just announced an official watch named after their NBA brand ambassador Lebron James — the Royal Oak Offshore LeBron James Limited Edition. It is presented in a 44 mm 18K pink gold Offshore case, with a titanium bezel and black ceramic crown and pushers. Pink gold and grey rubber are used for the pushpiece guards. Notably, the top pusher is set with 14 small diamonds, further distinguishing this as the special Lebron James model.

Patek Philippe Unique Piece Carries The 2013 Only Watch Auction

Today in Monaco, 33 unique watch lots were auctioned to help fund research to combat Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. According to MDA.org, “Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a genetic disorder characterized by progressive muscle degeneration and weakness. It is one of nine types of muscular dystrophy. DMD is caused by an absence of dystrophin, a protein that helps keep muscle cells intact. Symptom onset is in early childhood, usually between ages 3 and 5. The disease primarily affects boys, but in rare cases it can affect girls.”

The Watch Yohan Blake Wore In The Olympic 100-Meter Dash Will Be Auctioned For Charity Tomorrow In Monaco

Yohan Blake wore a prototype Richard Mille Tourbillon in his silver metal winning 100-meter dash at the 2012 London Summer Olympics. After the race, it was announced by the Olympic committee that Blake was not authorized to wear the watch during competition as Richard Mille was not an official Olympic sponsor. Regardless, Blake kept his metal, and tomorrow, at the Only Watch 2013 charity auction in Monaco, the actual watch he wore will be up for sale. The prototype never went into production but is similar to the one worn by PGA pro Bubba Watson.

Antiquorum: Rolex Single-Button 'Staybrite' Chronograph Pocket Watch Sells For More Than Triple The High Estimate

A beautiful stainless steel Rolex Ref. 2801 “Staybrite” Single-Button Chronograph from the 1940s just sold at the Antiquorum New York auction for more than triple the high estimate. Not surprising, as most of you already know, Rolex is a brand that consistently commands excellent resale on the pre-owned market. Antiquorum estimated it at $2,000 to $3,000 prior to the auction, and after numerous bids quickly came in — online, by phone and in-person — it reached an impressive final bid amount of $10,000.
