Clifton Chronograph collection

Baume & Mercier recently released photos of their new Clifton Chronograph collection which will be unveiled in January at SIHH 2014. The timepieces will be equipped with 25 jewel ETA/Valjoux 7750 automatic movements that are decorated with circular graining on the mainplate and Geneva stripes on the bridges and oscillating weight. The 7750 runs at 4Hz, has a power reserve of 48-hours and features rhodium plated screws. All of this is visible through the anti-glare sapphire crystal caseback which is secured with 4 screws.

The case is stainless steel and measures 43 mm by 14.95 mm. It has been polished and satin finished. The chrono configuration consists of a minutes counter at 12 o’clock, hour counter at 6 o’clock and seconds via the central seconds hand. At 9 o’clock is a subsidary small seconds display, and at 3 o’clock is a rectangular shaped day/date aperture.

There is an option for either a black or brown alligator strap, or a steel bracelet. The steel bracelet and brown alligator strap have gold hands, arabic numerals and indexes. Whereas, the steel on black alligator model has blued hands and snarled silver colored arabic numerals and indexes. All versions have a silver-colored, sun satin-finished dial. Prices are: $3,900 on strap and $4,200 on bracelet.
