To celebrate the opening of F.P. Journe’s 10th boutique, which is located Beirut, Lebanon – a special limited edition of the Chronomètre Bleu timepiece has been created. The “Chronomètre Bleu Byblos” is presented in a beautiful grayish-blue 39 mm tantalum case.

Inside, is caliber 1304, a manually wound double barrel movement with a 56-hour power reserve and Journe’s signature 18K rose gold main plate and bridges. The movement features exquisite hand finishing of components, including circular graining on the main plate and Geneva stripes on the bridges.

The watch is named after “Byblos” which is a Mediterranean city in Lebanon that is considered to be the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world.

The open worked dial features barleycorn pattern guilloche-work, surrounded by a unique sun motif blue chapter ring with a printed minute track and hour numerals. Notably, to fit the small seconds display in between 7 and 8 o’clock, those two hour markers were reduced in size. Moreover, at 12 o’clock, as subtle nod to Byblos, the the letter “J” in the stamped “F.P. Journe” logo has been replaced by the same letter in the Phoenician alphabet.

The Chronomètre Bleu Byblos is paired with a tan buffalo strap with contrasting stitches. Production is limited edition to 99 pieces, available exclusively at any of the ten F.P. Journe boutiques worldwide.
