This is MB&F’s sixth Horological Machine. Also known as the “Space Pirate,” the HM6 comes in a solid titanium case with 10 domed sapphire crystals and a bespoke mechanical movement. The caliber is made of 475 components, 68 jewels and boasts a 60-second tourbillon, with a retractable “tourbillon shield.” According to MB&F, the watch has “vertically-revolving hour and minute spheres driven by complex angular gear trains, dual regulating turbines connected to a central winding rotor in platinum 950.” The HM6 is technically impressive. Visually bizarre. And exactly what we have come to expect from MB&F.
