F.P.Journe recently announced a new version of the Octa Lune, with an easier to read time indication and a date display that is twice as large as the outgoing model.

The Nouvelle Octa Lune dials are in 18K gold. The offer center dial features embossed numerals that have been surfaced with a diamond tool. The date is shown in an aperture at 11 o’clock. A retrograde power reserve indicator shows the remaining power reserve at 9 o’clock. A moon phase aperture indicates the phases of the moon at 8 o’clock.

The mechanical movement (caliber 1300.3) has automatic winding is manufactured in 18K rose gold. It is wound uni-directionally by an F.P.Journe 22K gold rotor. The New Octa Lune is available with a 40 mm or 42 mm diameter case (not available any longer in 38mm). Thickness is 10.07 mm.

Finishing of the movement, which is visible through the see-through caseback, includes: Circular Côtes de Genève on bridges, partial circular graining on baseplate, polished screw heads with chamfered slots and pegs with polished rounded ends.


The New Octa Lune is available in platinum or in 18K red gold, with a red or white gold and silver dial. It can be paired with on leather strap, platinum or red gold bracelet.
