After launching the Neomatik line last year, in 2016, NOMOS Glashutte introduced a series of twelve watches with the new DUW 3001 movement, which is now equipped with the new in-house regulation system.

The models included are the Minimatik, Tangente, Metro, Orion, and Ludwig, which continue to be available with white silver-plated or champagne-colored dials. Also, the Tetra line is now available with an automatic movement.

The Neomatik series (which is the brand’s automatic collection of watches) is powered by the 3.2 mm thick DUW 3001, which allows for slim, elegant timepieces. Despite the thinness, each movement is capable of achieving chronometer accuracy.

According to the manufacture, “This high rate accuracy can now be achieved more simply and quickly in DUW 3001, as this caliber is equipped with NOMOS’ own DUW regulatory system. It replaces the Triovis system and allows NOMOS design engineers to set the position and clearance of the balance spring with utmost exactness and without coming into direct contact with the extremely delicate spring. The result? High precision in series.”

The watch movement features decentralized seconds, stop-seconds mechanism, Glashütte three-quarter plate, NOMOS balance bridge, 27 jewels, bi-directional winding rotor, Incabloc shock protection, DUW regulatory system, adjusted in six positions, tempered blue screws, rhodium-plated surfaces with Glashütte ribbing and NOMOS perlage, and a 42-hour power reserve. Water-resistance is 30 meters.

Pictured is the Ludwig Neomatik Champagner, which retails for $3,480. It measures 36 mm x 6.95 mm, and features a sapphire crystal front and rear. The dial is galvanized in a champagne gold color with neon orange print and rhodium-plated hands. Available with a natural cowhide, vegetable tanned, hand-stitched, leather strap with a NOMOS buckle clasp (Ref. 283).

There is a second version (Ref. 282) with a galvanized white silver-plated dial with cyan-blue print, oxidized black hands, red-lacquered seconds hand. Available with a Horween Shell Cordovan black leather strap, hand-stitched, with a NOMOS buckle clasp.
