On September 15th, Bell & Ross displayed the new timepieces of its Vintage Collection at the prestigious and historic Cercle National des Armées.

At the opening, the three lines of the Vintage Collection-the Original, Heritage and Officer-were introduced. These new timepieces draw their inspiration from the pilots' watches of the 40's and 50's, and are all faithful to the original inspiration of the brand.

Guests moved among the watch displays, hosted workshops and the comfortable club chairs that were scattered throughout the room. There was a buffet with tasting stations and a horology workshop where one could admire the expertise of a Bell & Ross watchmaker. Guests also had the opportunity to be photographed as a pilot from the '40's in front of a Vintage Collection background.

After Bell & Ross chairman, Carlos-A.Rosillo's speech, there was an award ceremony for the winners of the to the photo contest that had been held through the Bell&Ross website.

Almost 500 people were present at this event. Influential media figures rubbed elbows with military representatives, professional pilots, politicians, and watch making industry leaders, all sharing their common passion for watch making.

New Bell & Ross Commando BR-01 96 A Tribute to Special Forces

If you are a recruit in the special forces you require certain attributes. You must be strong physically and emotionally. Bell & Ross recently launched a new Instrument wristwatch, the BR01-94 Carbon Fiber Chronograph. The 46mm Instrument case is made of ultra-light carbon fiber, it is actually manufactured from a single block of carbon fiber. The dial and strap are also made of carbon fiber.

The first limited edition "Instruments" that Bell & Ross released in 2007 were the Orange versions of the the BR 01 and BR 03 92 and 94. After numerous other limited edition BR models - including the Phantoms, Reds, and Blues - the BR 01-97 Orange pays homage to the Orange dials that started it all. Other then the colour of its hands and hour markers the BR 01 97 has something else in common with the original Orange limited editions. Only 250 of them will be produced instead of the 500-watch production of all the other coloured dials.

Bell & Ross recently introduced two new professional watch models, within their Instrument collection, the BR 01-96 and BR 01-97 Commando Limited Editions. Specially designed for the elite fighting commando forces, each watch features a stealth grey color scheme and reflects no light.

This is a preview of the new Instrument collection that Bell & Ross will be introduced at Baselworld, next week. All versions will feature an automatic ETA 2892 movement. The BR 01 features an XXL 46mm case and the BR 03 features a 42mm case. Both cases are made of steel, which has been glass bead blasted and carbon powder coated. This provides excellent scratch and corrosion protection, while creating an appealing black finish. Each timepiece features a black dial, with numbers, index marks and hands covered with a sand-colored photoluminescent coating. The crystals are anti-reflective sapphire and water-resistant is down to 100m. The bracelets are printed natural leather of heavy-duty synthetic.
