Concord unveiled an all new line of watches at Baselworld 2011, the C2 collection. The new C2 collection has a similar hexagonal case shape, to the original C1, but with a substantially thinner case (at 12.75 mm versus 16.7 mm on the C1). The Concord C1 Vintage

Concord-C1-Distressed.jpg

Concord introduced a new C1 Chronograph, with a special blue treatment, last month at the Baselworld show. Like the original C1 Chronograph, it comes in a large, but wearable 44 mm size. It has the same signature vulcanized rubber around the bezel and on the crown and pushers, that is seen on all C1 timepieces. Inside, is a nicely decorated automatic chronograph movement (an ETA Valgranges A07.211) with blued screws and a blackened oscillating weight. The dial is carbon fiber and blue, with an exposed date indicator and a three subdials, at 6, 9 and 12 o'clock. The coolest feature, and what sets this apart from all other C1 chronographs, is the blue PVD case. It has basically been run through a washing machine - giving it a faded blue "destructed look".

Concord C1 Chronograph All Black

C1-Chronograph-All-Black-1.jpg

Concord has started revealing some of their Baselworld 2010 novelties. It seems a little early, considering Baselworld is not until March of next year. But then again, why not unveil some of their product line now? The new Concord C1 Chronograph All Black is 44 mm in diameter and 16.7 mm in thickness. It features a steel case and is comprised of 53 elements, a black PVD treatment, a protective ring and polished PVD self-locking screws. Black rubber paws protect the bezel, and give the C1 its unmistakable look.

Concord C1 Biretrograde

Concord - C1 Biretrograde three-quarter.jpg.jpeg

Concord recently unveiled a double retrograde complication that combines the date and the day of the week. Powered by a Concord C101 automatic movement, the C1 Biretrograde is available in either platinum or rose-gold. The dial is transparent (skeleton) and features a high-tech multi-layered design. A thick 3.3 mm sapphire crystal protects the dial. Below this is a chapter ring, which is slightly off-center to provide room for the retrograde displays.

Baselworld 2009 Preview: Concord C1 Quantum Gravity

C1-TourbillonGravity_1.jpg

An aerial bi-axial tourbillon mechanism. A vertical power reserve. Individualist seconds. A stripped-down dial and spectacular volumes: the latest specimen from the C Lab Series defies all theories. Even better, it creates its own rules: emptiness is its core material, engineering its constancy; chemistry a dare and transparency a must.
