Frédérique Constant

Frédérique Constant has just introduced a new watch line for women, the Armour Pavée collection. There are two versions available, one in stainless steel and one in 18K rose gold plated stainless steel. Both are set with 90 full-cut VS clarity diamonds (H color) on the dial and 48 on the case.

The dial and bezel features pavé set diamonds with a mother of pearl outer ring. "Armour" is written across the upper section of the dial with diamonds. A diamond-set heart at 12 o'clock frames the an aperture which reveals the mechanical movement's oscillating balance wheel below.

Introduced earlier this year, this is the Frédérique Constant Classics Manufacture in Rose Gold plated Steel. It boasts an in-house automatic caliber, for under three grand.

The case is 42 mm diameter and is in rose gold plated (also available polished stainless steel case) with a sapphire crystal and clear case back which allows a nice view of the manufacture movement. The movement features perlage and circular Côtes de Genève decoration, 26 jewels and frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz) and a power reserve of 42-hours.

Frederique Constant recently announced the Classics Manufacture, with an in-house equipped Frederique Constant caliber FC-710 automatic movement. The case is 42 mm diameter and is in polished stainless steel (also available in rose gold plated case) with a sapphire crystal and clear case back which allows a nice view of the manufacture movement. The movement features perlage and circular Côtes de Genève decoration, 26 jewels and frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz) and a power reserve of 42-hours.

The dial is silver with a central "guilloché" decoration and polished black oxidized hands. Functions include hours, minutes, central seconds and a date subdial at 6 o'clock. Large onion shaped crown. Black crococalf strap with water-resistant lining and stainless steel folding buckle. Water-resistance is 50 meters.

Frédérique Constant introduces a new in-house timepiece, the Heart Beat Manufacture GMT Automatic.

The new collection consists of six models. Steel versions are limited to 1,888 pieces and 18k gold versions are limited to 188 pieces. Both gold and steel variations come in a fully polished 42 mm diameter case. All models are powered by the new Frédérique Constant in-house Heart Beat Manufacture GMT caliber FC-938.

Frédérique Constant has just unveiled their first tourbillon, the Manufacture Tourbillon Grand Feu. This is an in-house tourbillon, built from the ground up at the company's manufacture in Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva.

A tourbillon is a very complex mechanism that takes a very high level of skill to create, and that is only part of what makes this timepiece special. An enamel dial is another element that requires a high level of skill and adds to the overall rarity of the Grand Feu.

The new collection features the new Frederique Constant in-house self-winding mechanical chronograph movement calibre FC-396, which is visible through the sapphire caseback. The movement beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz) and has a power reserve of 42 hours. The case is 43 mm in diameter and fully hand polished. Functions include hours, minutes and seconds and chronograph. A date display/function was omitted, making for a very clean and uncluttered dial.
