The Roger Dubuis Velvet Amethysts and Spinels timepiece Black Velvet was in my opinion the nicest ladies' timepiece I saw at the Salon International de la Haute Horoology (SIHH) last week.
The Black Velvet comes in a 36 mm diameter black DLC treated titanium case. The bezel is set with 46 amethysts (0.74 cts approx.). The lugs and decor set with 40 spinels (0.50 ct approx.)

Richard Mille has just released a ladies' version of their popular RM 016 men's watch. The case is 49.8 mm x 38 mm, and only 8.25mm thick. It features hours, minutes and a date display, but no seconds display. The dial is open worked, as you would expect on a Richard Mille timepiece. The rotor feature a variable geometry rotor, like of all RM automatic wristwatches. The power reserve is 55 hours. Water-resistance is 30 meters. A pink rubber strap matches perfectly with large pink hour numerals. Limited edition of 10 pieces.

English actress Rosamund Pike (Also known as villainous Bond girl Miranda Frost in Die Another Day) was wearing a Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra thin in Pink Gold during the press conference of Barney's Version, directed by Richard J.Lewis. The beautiful actress was also wearing a Jaeger-LeCoultre high jewellery watch, Reverso Neva, with her black dress during the movie red carpet.

Linde Werdelin is proud to announce the launch of its first women's watch to be added to its existing array of watches. The White Watch, based on the popular 3-Timer model has been given a softer and more elegant touch while a new strap has been fitted to accommodate smaller feminine wrists.
The 3-Timer's refined design constitutes the perfect model on which to base LW's first women's watch. Starting from the delicate pattern of the dial to the slender, sleek hands and discreet indexes, bearing the minimum luminous material possible and combined with the white colour details, The White Watch is designed to easily complement a lady's wardrobe. "Women today tend to prefer and wear bigger sized watches and I am very pleased that our designs although male marketed are appealing to women as well. Maintaining the brand's DNA is very important for LW and The White Watch is no exception" says Morten Linde.
While the strap mechanism remains the same, the white calfskin chosen for the new model has a reduced width which allows the watch to sit well on slender wrists. With white as the dominating colour the dial and calfskin strap match the details in colour on the screws and 24-hour bezel markings.
On the decision to add a women's watch to the Linde Werdelin collection, Jorn Werdelin commented "It is not our intention to produce a women's line, but because of the strong market request and Morten thinking that it could be an interesting design exercise, we are launching today The White Watch."
Like all Linde Werdelin watches, The White Watch can carry both The Rock - extreme ski instrument - and The Reef - dive instrument - maximising the user's sporting moments.
The White Watch is limited to just 51 pieces.

In early July, Cartier had a launch party for their new in-house timepiece, in Sydney, Australia. A number of high profile guests and celebrities were there, including author and model, Kathryn Eisman. Kathryn is shown wearing a ladies' Cartier Roadster timepiece in the photo (below).

Celebrities are known for wearing Rolex watches, but this is the first one that I have spotted wearing a black Rolex. Jennifer Aniston is wearing a black Rolex Milgauss. It is either a DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) or PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) version. You can actually buy either one, here, for $7,990 to $9,500.

The watches in Hamilton's Seaview collection are in a category that is arguably the most important amongst timepieces today. I am talking about the everyday watch.
