Porsche Design Indicator P6910

porschedesign_indicator2_.jpg

Porsche Design does not specialize in the manufacturing of high-end watches or writing instruments. What they do specialize in is the design of such products. They may not manufacture the watches or pens that display their name, but the companies they have sourced, definitely do. Eterna and Graf von Faber-Castell are well respected companies, so when you buy a watch or pen with the Porsche Design name, you know it is well made. The Porsche Design indicator is the perfect example, it is the only chronograph in the world which is equipped with a mechanical-digital stopwatch display.

Here is the Black PVD Coated Titanium Worldtimer made by Eterna for Porsche Design. The latest timepiece from Porsche Design displays the time in two different time zones simultaneously. Porsche Design Worldtimer GMT at Baselworld

Another big bad watch design created by Eterna for Porsche Design, the Worldtimer. Introduced at this years Baselworld show, this watch looks like another winner for Porsche watches.

You can keep track of two time zones, but instead of using a fourth hand like other GMT watches, however, the P'6750 uses an indicator window placed at 9 o'clock on the dial to display the secondary time zone, and another indicator window at 3 o'clock to select the time zone by city. The unique features are driven by an Eterna ETA Valgranges automatic movement, enclosed in a titanium case in either matt finish or with black PVD coating.

Porsche Design Flat Six P'6340 Automatic Chronograph

This is a sweet new Porsche Design wristwatch. When Porsche first came out with watches I was a bit skeptical, but now I would have to say they have produced some really nice designs. They named this one the "Flat Six" after their renowned flat six engine.
