Breilting Marketing Director, Lisa Roman, just informed me that they will be opening a new three level flagship store on 57th Street in New York City.

Breitling, luxury Swiss watchmaker since 1884 will be opening its first US store in New York at 5 E. 57th Street this fall.

The 8,500 square foot, three level store will showcase Breitling's entire collection of fine timepieces from the Breitling, and Breitling for Bentley lines as well as an assortment of special limited edition models. The store will also feature a Breitling technical center for after sales service.

Marie Bodman, President of Breitling US, comments, "Breitling is delighted to be a part of such a rich retail environment on this venerable street".

At the height of tax season in the U.S., Westime is giving all customers a tax break. For the month of April only, Westime will pay the sales tax on watch purchases made at its Los Angeles and Beverly Hills boutiques. The promotion also applies to telephone orders and layaway purchases. It cannot be combined with any other promotion.

"April is the perfect time for many people to buy a watch for themselves or as a gift, especially with Mother's Day, Father's Day and graduations right around the corner," says Greg Simonian, president of Westime. "Westime offers watches to match every budget. And by picking up the sales tax, we are happy to make a watch purchase even more budget-friendly this month," he adds.

Opened on Christmas day in the Central District, the CORUM boutique is the first flagship store of the brand. Representing 40% of Corum's turnover, the Far East market has grown quickly by double digit yearly increases since 2007. Hong Kong has thus become the place to be and a key market for the brand. Audemars Piguet has decorated the storefront windows, at their boutique in Bal Harbour, Florida with antique tables, vintage watchmaking tools and hand-drawn designs by Octavia Garcia (AP Design Director). Also on display, are some very complicated AP timepieces. The Jules Audemars Minute Repeater with Jumping Hours, Jules Audemars Equation of Time, Jules Audemars Minute Repeater, Toubillon and Chronoghraph, and an Edward Piguet Large Date to name but a few.
