The TAG Heuer Monaco V4 Next Generation comes in a 41 mm diameter case made of Grade 5 titanium, with fine-brushed silicon nitride ceramic inserts. Other titanium components include hand applied faceted indexes on the dial, minutes and hour hands, small seconds hand (at 4 o'clock), the crown and the strap's folding buckle.

TAG Heuer's Mikrotimer concept watch is the only watch in the world capable of tracking 1/1000th of a second. It does so with a revolutionary caliber that operates at 500 Hz, or 3.6 million beats per second.

I recently came across a great looking Heuer chronograph, specifically a 1950s "Pre-Carrera" Heuer Chronograph. Unlike the original 1964 Carrera model, which is powered by a Valjoux 72, or the 1964 re-edition that came out in the late 1990s, which is powered by a Lemania, this watch (pictured) is powered by the manually wound Valjoux 71 movement.

In 2004, TAG Heuer introduced the Monaco V4, as a concept watch. Five years later, the concept is finally becoming a reality. The first one will go sale at the Only Watch Auction 2009, on September 24th. The auction will be conducted by Patrizzi & Co. during the Monaco Yacht Show. All proceeds of the sale go to support research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

I saw this vintage Heuer Camaro chronograph earlier today, over at Hodinkee. It features a black matte dial, three chronograph subdials and sporty contrasting red hands. After running a few searches, I could only find one available for sale here. What a beautiful watch.
