Independent watchmaker Corum has pulled off a sailing double! Its partnership with the famous Okalys-Corum team pairs it with the Julius Baer Challenge's most decorated Decision 35. It is also lending its name to Switzerland 's premier regatta, the Corum Grand Prix which will be held next May 8-10 just a few miles from Geneva 's yacht club, the Société Nautique de Genève.

Corum has just announced that they will be introducing a new Admiral's Cup Chronograph, the 50 LHS, at Baselworld. The "50" denotes the case size, 50 mm, and the LHS, stands for (Left-Hand-Side), because the crown and pushers are on the left hand side of the case. The movement is a self-winding chronograph, in-house caliber CO 753, COSC certified. It runs at a frequency of 4 Hz, 28,800 vibrations/hour and uses 27 jewels.

Finally Rolex has come out with a newer design. The majority of their watches have stayed basically the same for many years, which is good and bad. I like the bold new design and I think this type of watch might help attract other buyers that would not normally buy a Rolex because of the old school look. On the other hand I am sure buyers that do purchase a Rolex because of the traditional look will probably not like this particular model as much. Either way here is a nice shot of the new Rolex Yacht-Master II Regetta Chrono that was just introduced at BaselWorld.
