Patek Philippe Perpetual Chronograph

This new limited edition masterpiece from Patek Philippe is made from 950 platinum, which by its' nature is much harder to work with than gold or steel. The result is a heavy timepiece that has a color few other watches will ever have. The bezel is studded with 36 baguette diamonds that are each the flawless rare white Top Wessleton kind that total four carats. The solid platinum case comes with two casebacks: a solid-platinum back and a sapphire-crystal caseback. A shiny black alligator strap is used along with a platinum prong buckle with six baguette diamonds. The dial is black with diamond hour markers.

URWERK has just created a limited edition wristwatch that utilizes a new metal treatment process called Titanium Aluminum Nitride Coating. The treatment is said to be the hardest coating used in watchmaking, it is even harder than DLC (diamond like carbon). The color that results from this process can range from bronze to black and depends on the ratio of Titanium/Aluminum.

The Corum Classical Billionaire Tourbillon is an ultra-limited edition wristwatch with 850 diamonds. It is a manually wound skeletonized Caliber CO-372 by Corum and La Joux-Perret. The case is 46 mm in diameter. It comes in mutltiple versions ranging from $325,00 to $998,000. What makes it ultra-limited is the fact that there are only 10 pieces of each of the four variations.

PVD Rolex Daytona Chronograph

Bamford & Sons created a PVD-treated Rolex Submariners and GMT Masters and now they have created an exclusive line of black Rolex Daytona chronographs. I am glad that another company has addressed the demand for black Rolex timepieces, Rolex is clearly uninterested. Rolex came out with numerous new and redesigned models this year, but they just will not do black. Bamford & Sons has created stainless steel IPods and now you can get your blacked out Rolex even if Rolex does not approve, and this one is $19,500.
