Most Wanted: Watches at SIHH 2011

The Memovox Tribute to Deep Sea is a re-edition of Jaeger-LeCoultre's original alarm watch. The original versions of the Deep Sea are highly collectible, thankfully Jaeger-LeCoultre tried to keep this piece very true to the original. Careful attention was paid to details as minute as the patina and color of the dial. It even features a plastic crystal, like the original. Retail $12,450.

The Ralph Lauren Sporting Chronograph Guilloché Steel

Ralph Lauren unveiled three very interesting "Sporting" timepieces at SIHH 2011 this past January. The Sporting Watch (with unique Burled wood dial), the Sporting Chronograph Black Ceramic and the Sporting Chronograph Guilloche steel (shown above). The guilloché-work on the chronograph is not something you see much in this price range, making it maybe the most compelling of the three new "sporting models.

The Ralph Lauren Sporting Chronograph Black Ceramic

Ralph Lauren and the Richemont Group began collaborating in 2007 and have offered timepieces designed by Ralph Lauren and manufactured by the Richemont Group since 2008. For 2011, though, they have produced some of their most attractive timepieces yet. Three RL pieces, in particular, stood out for Ralph Lauren at SIHH 2011. The new vintage Bugatti inspired Ralph Lauren Sporting Watch and the two new Sporting Chronographs. The Sporting Chronographs are available in black ceramic (shown above), and a steel guilloche model. The new Ralph Lauren Sporting Chronograph in matte black ceramic is hard to resist. SIHH 2011: Panerai Radiomir 8 Day Ceramica 45 mm

One of the most interesting timepieces that was unveiled by Panerai at SIHH 2011, aside from the Bronzo, was the Panerai Radiomir 8 Day Ceramica. The Radiomir has the smallest diameter within the men's collection. At 45 mm (Radiomors are also available in 42 mm), it features Panerai's signature style, but with a few less millimeters in diameter and no oversized crown guard, making it one of the most comfortable Panerai's. The new Radiomir has a substantial 8-Day power-reserve. Powered by not two, but three barrels. The P2002/3 is a very impressive calibre in Panerai's growing lineup of in-house manufacture movements. The mechanical hand-wound movement runs at 28,800 vph (4Hz), has 21 jewels, a monometallic Glucydur balance, KIF Parechoc anti-shock protection and a total of 225 components. The movement, which is not highly decorated, is still very nice looking
