Vacheron Constantin recently announced a new platinum tourbillon, the Patrimony Traditional 14-Day Tourbillon. The newest Collection Excellence Platine model is presented in a 42 mm by 12.22 mm platinum 950 case. It displays hours, minutes, small seconds at 6 o’clock on the tourbillon carriage and a 14-day power reserve at 12 o’clock. Baton hour markers are in polished platinum, with an arrow shaped marker at 12. The minutes, small seconds and power reserve are indicated by black painted markings. The Vacheron Constantin logo and Maltese cross are located off center at 3 o’clock. In between 4 and 5 o’clock, ‘PT 950″ is stamped on the dial.

A sand-blasted Platinum 950 dial, with a ‘PT 950’ hallmark stamped in between 4 and 5 o’clock, distinguishes this and the other models within the Collection Excellence Platine range.

The Patrimony Traditional 14-Day tourbillon is powered by VC in-house Cal. 2260, a self-winding movement with 231 parts, 31 jewels and a frequency of 2.5Hz. “To guarantee the 14-day power reserve, Vacheron Constantin Calibre 2260 is equipped with four barrels stacked in pairs, interconnected and discharging simultaneously, yet four times slower than a single barrel.”

Sapphire caseback. Water-resistance to 30 meters. Dark blue Mississippiensis alligator leather, hand-stictched with platinum 950 and silk, saddle-finish, large square scales. Folding triple black clasp in platinum 950 with polished half Maltese cross. Limited edition of 50 individually numbered pieces. (Ref. 89000/000P-9843)
