Originally introduced at Baselworld 2012 in prototype form, this is the first production-ready HYT H2 timepiece.

As a recap, the center hand indicates minutes (it jumps over the 6 o’clock hour marker in one motion every 30-minutes). Hours are indicated by a retrograde display that consists of neon-yellow fluorescent fluid that moves within the tube around the edge of the dial.

The two bellows (pumps), which are visible on the lower half of the dial, pump the fluid through the hour tube. These bellows are now mounted at a 45-degree angle (as opposed to 90 degrees on the H1). The balance wheel is mounted on a bridge, visible at 12 o’clock. An operating indicator, located on the dial at 3 o’clock, shows which mode the crown is in H-time setting, N-Neutral, R-Winding. In between 9 and 10 o’clock is a display that shows the movement’s operating temperature. There are two power reserve barrels — visible through the caseback — which ensure an impressive max reserve of 8 days.

The HYT H2 is limited to 50 pieces at a retail of $129,000 a piece.
