IWC has announced three limited edition references that pay homage to aviation pioneer, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, who took off on a reconnaissance flight over France and never returned.

All three models come in a 46 by 16.5 mm brown silicon nitride ceramic case with a brown dial, brown calfskin strap with quilted stitching and pin buckle. Each is powered by an IWC caliber 89361 automatic flyback chronograph movement that beats at 4Hz, has 38 jewels and a 68-hour power reserve.

The dial and case backs are the only elements that vary between the three models.

(Ref. IW388005) rhodium-plated counters, push-buttons, crown and case back in platinum, hands and appliqués rhodium-plated with Super-LumiNova® coating, limited to 17 watches.

All proceeds from the sale of the 17 piece Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Edition “The Last Flight” in platinum at an auction later this year will benefit the charitable Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Youth Foundation. More at IWC.
