Blancpain’s Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe is now available with a blue dial combined with a Sedna® gold case.

The 43 mm x 13.40 mm Bathyscaphe case is made from Sedna® gold — the Swatch Group’s proprietary 18K red gold alloy made of gold, copper, and palladium — engineered to prevent the reddish hue from fading as it does in typical red or rose gold. Similar to Rolex’s Everose gold, Sedna® gold is also used by the Swatch Group’s Omega brand.

A dark blue sunburst brushed dial is framed by the solid gold unidirectional bezel with matching darky blue ceramic insert and Ceragold markers. Gold rectangular shaped hour and minute hands, a red-tipped gold lollipop hand, and applied gold indices — all treated with lume — indicate the hours, minutes, and seconds. A date aperture with a dark blue wheel displays the date at 4:30.
