This month, Mido debuted a new skeletonized gradient dial watch line within their Commander collection.

The Commander Gradient comes in a 40 mm x 10.84 mm stainless steel case (21 mm interlug width) and is available in four variations: stainless steel with a bracelet, gold plated stainless steel on a leather strap, black PVD coated stainless steel with a bracelet, black PVD coated stainless steel on a textile strap (shown).

A transparent smoked acrylic ring connected to the flange acts as the dial and features applied baton-shaped skeleton indices with orange lume. In the center of the dial, a transparent opening offers a view of the bridges, gear train, and additional movement components, including the large date wheel. Long baton-shaped skeleton hour and minute hands with orange lume, along with a varnished oranged needle-shaped center seconds hand, indicate the time.

An automatic base ETA caliber C07.611 movement powers the time and date for a maximum of 80-hours. The movement has been adjusted and tested to chronometer standards and comes with an official COSC certificate. Water-resistance is rated to 50 meters. (Ref.
