Omega launched its latest generation of Constellation watch designed for men this month.

The Omega Constellation Gents 41 mm comes in a newly redesigned case and is available in stainless steel, 18K gold, or a combination of both. Almost all of the models have polished ceramic bezels. One model has an all-steel bezel and blackened Roman numerals. Replicating the original Constellation Manhattan of 1982, the original bezels were made from shiny sapphire glass.

Two sets of claws, in the same material as the case, adorn the left and right case flank, extending to the fixed bezel, and creating a unique two-tone effect. The Constellation is further distinguished by half-moon facets at both ends of the case.

Beveling along the case edges, including along the claw edges, helped the designers keep a slender look while offering a premium appearance. The hands have been given a slimline update, and according to Omega, the new indices take their inspiration from the Manhattan skyline, most notably the triangular facets of the Freedom Tower.

Most of the new 2020 models will be presented on leather straps with an anti-bacterial rubber lining. A decorative metallic link connects each side of the strap to the case, creating a unique look of its own. Those who prefer an overall metallic look can match their new model with any bracelet in the Constellation 39mm collection, or its full leather strap.

Omega’s advanced Co-Axial automatic caliber 8900/8901 — which beats at 3.5Hz, has 39 jewels, has a 60-hour power reserve, a free-sprung silicon balance wheel supported by a traversing bridge, and is finely decorated — is visible through a sapphire caseback.

Omega also introduced standard versions of the Constellation for men earlier this year. The retail prices start at $6,500 in stainless steel.
