There has been unofficial talk about how Audemars Piguet – a company that is predominantly known by their Royal Oak and Royal Oak Offshore collections – was developing a totally new timepiece collection for some time now.

It appears that the launch is finally imminent. All we know so far about the name is that it is being referred to as “Code 1159 by Audemars Piguet.” And you can already see glimpses of what appears to be a brand new watch case in a series of videos and photos on the AP website.

Most of the shots of the watch, particularly those seen on the AP ambassadors in the videos, are obscured by a digital blur effect.

In the videos are Dominique Crenn (Three Start Michelin Chef), Henrik Stenson (Professional Golfer), Bjarke Ingels (Architect), Quayola (Visual Artist), and Serena Williams (Professional Tennis Player).

There are a few unobscured shots as well, such as this one (pictured above). As you can see, the lugs are completely skeletonized. We can also see in other shots that it’s a round case, has a domed sapphire crystal, and has Arabic hour markers at the poles (12, 3, 6, 9).

More will be revealed Sunday, January 12th, according to the Audemars Piguet website.
