Baume, the sustainable entry-level spinoff of Baume & Mercier, recently announced the ZAG Limited Edition 42 Automatic watch, which is the result of a collaboration with French ski brand ZAG.

Similar to using recycled skateboard material in a previous limited edition, which we wrote about here, unused ski materials are used in the watch cases of this 100-piece limited edition.

The 42 mm diameter cases features a yellow aluminum container clipped with natural wood scraps leftover from the manufacturing of ZAG skis.

A dark gray dial, with a mirror effect pattern, combined with a bright neon yellow color scheme, accented by red hour and second hands, and a partially skeletonized dial, gives the watch its unmistakable look.

The unique regulator dial (each function has its own display), with 24-hour and small second displays at the bottom and on the right, respectively, is powered by Japanese made Miyota caliber 82D7 (42-hours power reserve). The long, bright yellow baton-shaped central hand which sweeps the dial indicates minutes along the angled flange.

Sapphire glass protects the front and rear, with a ZAG logo engraved on the back.
