As a follow-up to the Superocean Heritage ’57 collection that Breitling debuted last year, for 2021, they’ve announced a new smaller version.

The Superocean Heritage ’57 Pastel Paradise Capsule Collection is presented in a 38 mm x 9.35 mm stainless steel case (compared to 42 mm x 9.99 mm for the original version) and offered in summer-ready colors including aquamarine, mint green, iced latte, summer white, and rainbow tangerine.

The pastel colors and the smaller diameter and thickness of the watch do lean towards a feminine client, and Breitling did a shoot with all women. However, the size, in particular, would probably do well for smaller men’s wrists. Perhaps, the 38 mm case, offered in more traditional colors like the 42 mm Superocean Heritage ’57 from last year, would make for a good second all-around model.

Like with the original Superocean Heritage ’57 collection from 2020, an outsourced COSC-certified 4Hz automatic movement powers the hours, minutes, and center seconds. Retail is $4,630 with the exception of the rainbow tangerine that will retail for $4,770.
