The American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute (AWCI), which provides professional training and certification to watchmakers in the US and issues the CW21 (Certified Watchmaker of the 21st Century) and CMW21 (Certified Master Watchmaker of the 21st Century) certifications, is coming to New York and partnering with Grand Central Watch to offer a limit number of watch enthusiasts a day of watchmaking.

“Build a Watch” training is a unique crash course in watchmaking where attendees assemble a Swiss Made ETA 6497 movement, lubricate the moving parts, install a dial and hands, and case up the watch before wearing it home.
