Xetum offers Swiss movements, California designed timepieces that represent an excellent value at the sub-$1,000 price point. The Xetum Stinson is powered by a Swiss ETA 2824 caliber (elaborated grade). It’s a 25-jewel self-winding mechanical movement that runs at 28,800 vph (4Hz), with a power reserve of 38-hours.

The round stainless steel case measures 40 mm in diameter by 11 mm in height. It has a brushed finish with two polished bands the wrap around the outer case band. The slightly oversized crown is shaped like the Xetum logo. Instead of using lugs to secure the strap to the case, the band is integrated into the case, resulting in a very modern look.

Dial comes in three colors: matte black, cream (shown) or brown. The hours and minutes hands, as well as the 12, 3, 6, 9 o’clock hour indexes, are coated with white SuperLuminova. Strap is made of soft brown leather with an eco-friendly Italian cork lining, and a “Xetum” signed steel clasp.

A flat sapphire crystal with an interior anti-reflective coating cover the dial, with a K1 hardened mineral crystal protecting the back. Screw down crown ensures water-resistance of 100 meters.

The Stinson features a genuine Swiss movement. Each piece is hand assembled and adjusted in Switzerland. And although design is very simple, the styling is distinctive enough to stand out among so many of the timepieces generally available at this price point. Furthermore, the craftsmanship that goes into these timepieces is very good, and it would be easy to mistake a Xetum timepiece for something costing significantly more.
