Introduced in 2019, the G-Shock Full Metal 5000 Black Aged IP was produced in limited numbers, although not a limited edition per se.

Offered in a black-aged IP stainless steel case, this is unlike other black editions in that it has been given a worn-in effect which results in a color that’s more of a gunmetal-gray-hue than a true black.

Like the previous and subsequent Full Metal 5000 collection, the square-shaped case design is derived from the original G-Shock that came out in 1983 (Ref. DW-5000). It was not until 2018 that the metallic versions of the 5000 Series were launched, and we reviewed the first collection here.

Retailing for $1,000 originally, the G-Shock Full Metal 5000 Black Aged IP GMWB5000V-1 can be found on the secondary market and we found current listings ranging from $1,200 to $3,000.
