Photographed at Roger Dubuis’ factory in Geneva in 2010, the Easy Diver is a rather large dive watch, from a decade when sports watches were generally larger than they are today.

The Roger Dubuis Easy Diver (Ref. RDDBSE0256) retailed for $12,900 at the time. Since then, the brand has undergone a number of changes, like any brand. Not to mention, Roger Dubuis, the founder of his namesake brand, passed away in October of 2017, although it’s his earlier pieces that tend to be the most desirable in the collecting community. The Easy Diver, despite being an oversized 46 mm diver with a bold, eclectic aesthetic, it appears to be holding up well in terms of resale.

The watch production was limited to 888 pieces, so there are not tons of them out there.

Considering the watch carries a COSC chronometer certification, and Geneva seal, on the in-house movement, there is some justification for the price being that the movement has been very nicely finished and adjusted coming out of the factory.

For those with big wrists looking for a unique dive watch, and willing to pay around $10K, this could be a very nice pre-owned find, if the aesthetics appeal.
