Originally launched in 2018, the Full Metal 5000 has become a staple at G-Shock, and now they’ve added another unique two-ton ion-plating model to the lineup.

Introducing the G-Shock Full Metal 5000 GMWB5000PB-6, which features a purple and blue-gray ion plating treatment on the stainless steel case and bracelet. The multi-colored plating has been offered in the past, for the titanium GMW-B5000TR-9 Tran Tixxii, and that watch costs $1,100 more than this one.

The Full Metal 5000 GMWB5000PB-6 case measures 43.2 mm x 49.3 mm with a thickness of 13 mm, like all of the past Full Metal 5000 timepieces to date.

In addition to the two-tone purple and blue-gray IP hues on the case and bracelet, the dial is accented with orange, purple, light blue, and red hues. Uniquely, the display has a reverse LCD (STN-LCD), which enhances legibility in high contrast situations, as well as an LED light for when even more light is needed.

Like most G-Shocks, and all of the 5000s, the watch has Bluetooth time sync, Multi-Band 6 Atomic timekeeping as a redundant backup, Tough Solar that recharges itself, a phone finder function, five daily alarms, a stopwatch, and many more features.

The GMWB5000PB-6 retails for $600 and will be available for purchase mid-September at select G-SHOCK retailers, the G-SHOCK Soho Store, and gshock.com.
