This is a combination of photography from the launch Girard-Perregaux Hawk sports watch collection which took place over a period of a few days in Miami.

The Sea Hawk moniker has been around since the 1940s to designate high water-resistance models. The new collection is a redesign of the previous generation Sea Hawk, which came out in 2002. The watch maintains the 4 o’clock crown, uni-directional dive bezel, integrated crown guard, screwed caseback, helium escape valve, and a 1,000 meters water-resistance rating — like in the past — but with a modern aesthetic.

Along with the launch of the Sea Hawk, Girard-Perregaux also unveiled another new sports timepiece: the Chrono Hawk which is presented in a similarly shaped octagonal case also measuring 44 mm diameter, with flat chronograph pushers, a round satin-finish steel bezel, and an octagonal rubber ring.

Both watches are driven by GP automatic movements beating at 4Hz. The contemporary watches are generously sized at 44 mm x 17 mm and have contemporary angular styling that you’ll likely love or hate, depending on your taste preferences.
