The Matrix Resurrections arrives in US theaters on December 22nd and will be available to stream via HBO Max the same day.

In partnership with Warner Bros, Hamilton has created a new all-black version of its 1970 digital watch — the Pulsar — which was the world’s first wristwatch with a digital display.

The PSR MTX Limited Edition is based on the re-edition of the 1970 Hamilton Pulsar that debuted in 2020 under the “PSR” moniker and has the same  40.8 mm x 34.7 mm stainless steel case (bracelet 24 mm/19 mm), with the addition of scratch-resistant black PVD coating — which is a good match to the predominantly black outfits worn in the movie.

Powered by a digital quartz movement the screen features a green LCD/OLED hybrid display, which ties into the green Matrix digital code rain that’s as synonymous with the movie franchise as Neo, Trinity, and Morpheus.

A sapphire crystal protects the dial side while on the back a solid screw-in caseback has been given a special Matrix code rain decoration. The watch has a depth rating of 100 meters.

As an homage to the original 1999 premiere of The Matrix, Hamilton has limited production to 1,999 pieces. The Matrix Resurrections will see the return of Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss reprising their iconic roles as Neo and Trinity, and perhaps the limited edition PSR will make an appearance in the movie as well — as is often the case with Hamilton watches.

The Hamilton PSR MTX Limited Edition (Ref. H52434130) has a retail price of approximately $995.
