Later this month, alongside the Aeronaval XA Solo Tempo three-hand model we showed you earlier this week, Waltham will also launch a 2nd collection called the Aeronaval XA CDI. This watch features a push-button GMT function, along with a push-button central date indication. The look and functionality were inspired by the 1940s Waltham airplane instrument (shown below).

“In addition to the 24-hour GMT hand, the Waltham CDI introduces a distinct Central Date Indicator System with an innovative Time Zone Setting feature, that allows a rapid adjustment of the main time and date through the use of 3 distinctive buttons.”

The XA CDI comes in a grade 5 titanium case that measures 47 mm on the back and tapers to 44 mm at the face. The bidirectional 24-hour bezel is in matt black ceramic.

The dial is embossed with a black W pattern and features luminous treated, applied Arabic numerals and circular indices to mark the hours. The hour, minute, second and 2nd time zone hands feature a luminous treatment as well.

The Waltham Aeronaval XA CDI is paired with a black rubber strap, with a titanium grade 2 deployante buckle. Flat anti-reflective sapphire crystal. Screwed-down crown. Solid caseback. Water-resistant to 300 meters. Automatic caliber W.DB-002 Dubois-Dépraz 331, 4 Hz, 21 jewels, 44-hour maximum power reserve.
