Today, Victorinox announced the first forged carbon version of their mechanical I.N.O.X. The I.N.O.X. Carbon Mechanical case measures the same 43 mm diameter as the original I.N.O.X. that debuted in 2014, as well as the first forged carbon model that came out in 2017, and the first mechanical version which came out in 2018.

Forged carbon is extremely lightweight and scratch-resistant, like ceramic, but with a unique marbled appearance created by combining intense heat and pressure. Comparable to ceramic, forged carbon is also highly hypoallergenic, unlike most metals which can cause allergic reactions.

The design has remained the same over the past 5 years and maintains a screw-down crown protected by crown guards, as well as an ultra-rugged design that can take serious abuse. The caseback is screw-in and has a sapphire window to view the movement. Water-resistance is 200 meters.

A stamped monobloc guilloché dial with stamped indices distinguishes this mechanical watch from its quartz-powered counterparts. With that in mind, the Swiss-made Sellita SW-200 drives central hours, minutes, seconds, and a date function.

The I.N.O.X. Carbon Mechanical is delivered on a black genuine rubber strap with guilloché imprint, in a shockproof box housing a special edition Spartan PS black knife and bumper. Retail is $1,150.
