Ollech & Wajs recently introduced their new throwback OW C-1000 dive watch collection, and today the pre-orders opened.

Consisting of two models, one with an RAF nylon strap (sourced from Britain) and one with a beads-of-rice stainless steel bracelet, the C-1000, as the name suggests is good down to 1,000 meters. A 39.56 mm stainless steel case, which is manufactured in Switzerland, utilizes an extra-strong dome sapphire crystal, and a screw-down crown with quadruple gaskets, to ensure a deep water-resistance rating.

Not only is the case made in Switzerland, but according to the brand, “over 90% of components of Swiss origin, assembled in Swiss Jura.” As for the movement, the OW C-1000 is powered by an outsourced, slightly modified, Swiss-made, ETA 2824-2 which is equipped with an Ollech & Wajs Zurich 1956 engraved mainplate and OW machined rotor.

A stainless-steel rotating bezel with a ceramic insert allows the wearer to measure dive times, and the indices and hands are generously lumed for excellent optics on land or underwater. The hour and minute hands are large and rectangular shaped, the central seconds hand features a large arrow-tip, and 12, 3, and 9 have huge triangle indices – all filled with lume. A date window at 6 o’clock partially obstructs the hour marker.
