TAG Heuer has released a number of new Aquaracers over the past few years, although none with a bezel quite like this.

This Aquaracer Tortoise Shell Effect Calibre 5 Automatic comes with a resin insert made to look like a tortoiseshell — embedded within the stainless steel unidirectional rotating dive bezel. There are two versions: one with a blue sunray brushed dial and blue tortoiseshell effect bezel and the other with a black sunray brushed dial and brown tortoiseshell effect bezel.

Apart from the unusual bezel, this watch has the same characteristics as the latest Aquaracers such as the green dial version released in 2019 and the blue dial GMT, such as the horizontal pattern on the dial, prominent rhodium-plated hands and hour markers, signature notched Aquaracer bezel, a 43 mm diameter stainless steel case with locking crown, solid screwed caseback, thick sapphire crystal and a water-resistance rating of 300 meters.

This new pair of Aquaracers are engraved with the image of a vintage diver’s helmet on the steel caseback and fitted with a distinctive alligator-pattern leather strap backed with rubber and secured with a folding push-button release safety clasp.
