Oscar-winner, Mahershala Ali, is seen (pictured top) in Season 3 of HBO’s popular True Detective series, wearing a discontinued Casio AMW320R-1EV. The stainless steel watch, with a rubber strap, measures approximately 45.5 mm across, is powered by a quartz movement, and has both analog hands displaying the time, and a digital readout at the bottom of the dial.

I didn’t watch the Oscars but did watch the Season 3 Finale of True Detective last night. From the very first episode, I noticed the Casio on Ali’s wrist but had not identified the model yet. Thankfully a Redditor helped with that.

Interestingly, according to this article, Courtney Vance, wore the same Casio AMW320R-1EV wristwatch in The Hunt for Red October (1990), almost 30 years ago.
